Job Description

Mensin Gold Bibiani Ltd (MGBL) is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the following positions: CCTV Control Room Operator

Job Purpose

To utilise and operate all systems in the control room to their optimum.

Key Responsibilities

  • To operate and respond to all aspects of Control Room Operation including Emergency
  • Monitor and keep all evidential records and witness statements in accordance with MGBL’s standards, procedures and values to a standard acceptable to the rules of evidence in
  • Record all events and actions taken in a clear, legible and accurate written
  • Provide an efficient and courteous radio and telephone communication service and deal efficiently with all emergencies and
  • Report equipment failure to the site supervisor to maximise operation of the
  • Maintain a secure system for providing data in accordance with the regulations set up by MGBL and ensure the security of the control room and equipment is always
  • Maintain the provision of information required by the Head of the Risk Department and the supervisor to assist the monitoring of the CCTV system and other security systems in accordance with the procedures set up by
  • Ensure compliance with OHSAS, ISO and other national
  • Assist the designated supervisor to download recordings to support investigations in compliance with data protection
  • Manage the intercoms from the entrances to the mine and offer information on the location of car parks and buildings and any information
  • Manage the dedicated emergency telephones and the telephone system and be aware of emergency response
  • Monitor the Fire Alarm systems and report via radio or telephone any information necessary for the safety and security of the mine and
  • Report as necessary any incidents to the Emergency Response
  • To report any failures or issues to the Risk Manager or a designated senior

Required Qualification and Experience

  • Must possess a minimum of Senior High School certificate or its
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years working experience in complex security control room operations or similar position in the extractive
  • Technical knowledge of a large digital CCTV system and a proven track record of working in a busy control room environment in the extractive
  • Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving licence and proficiency in driving light
  • A female with the requisite experience in the extractive environment will be
