Escrow & Agent Policy

Escrow Policy

Activezoon Escrow protects both buyers and sellers on transactions where it's used. When a buyer pays through escrow, the payment is held securely by Activezoon - not released to the seller - until the buyer confirms they've received the item as described.

How it works

  1. Buyer pays into escrow when placing an order.
  2. Seller ships or delivers the item.
  3. Buyer confirms receipt, or the order auto-releases automatically if the buyer doesn't respond within the confirmation window.
  4. Funds are released to the seller, minus the platform's escrow fee.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, either the buyer or seller can raise a dispute before funds are released. Activezoon will review the dispute and decide how funds are released based on the evidence provided.

Escrow Fee

A platform fee applies to every escrow transaction, split between the buyer and seller. The exact percentage may change from time to time - the current rate is always shown before you confirm a payment.

Marketplace Agent Policy

Activezoon's Agent program lets verified individuals sell on behalf of shops that may not have an online presence themselves - including shops with no internet access or smartphone at all.

What an Agent Does

An Agent posts listings on behalf of a shop they represent, helps buyers complete a purchase, and earns a commission automatically when a sale completes through escrow. Agents do not own the products they list - they represent the shop.

Commission

Commission is set by Activezoon, by product category - it is never negotiated between the Agent and the shop. The commission rate is added automatically to the shop's price when a listing is created, so the final price you see already includes it.

Escrow is Mandatory for Agent Sales

Every sale made through an Agent uses Activezoon Escrow - there is no option to pay an Agent directly outside the platform. This protects buyers, and ensures the shop and Agent are both paid correctly when the sale completes.

Unclaimed Shops

Some shops represented by an Agent may not have their own Activezoon account yet. In this case, the Agent's account temporarily acts as the seller of record, and is responsible for passing the shop's portion of the proceeds to them directly. A shop can claim their own account at any time using a code provided by their Agent, after which future sales pay the shop directly.

Staying On-Platform

All Agent-mediated sales must go through Activezoon. Buyers and Agents communicate only through Activezoon's chat - direct contact details are not shared - to keep every transaction protected by escrow.
